Finished shams! I love them. So does Jasmine which is good since they belong to her.

Lots of seams to sew. The first sham I made the seams about an inch apart. The second sham I made the seams about 1.5 inches apart. I liked that better.

Trying to decorate for Christmas after the water leak is trying. The house is dried out but not but back together. Hopefully we will know more in a few days after the contractor comes in. In August we will celebrate Stuie being in our family for two years. Where did the two years go? I have been thinking how Stuie changed Jasmine's life. Two years ago she was almost housebound. Now she does about anything. When we go to a city to shop, I can't keep up with her. She is everywhere. I don't even try. This is why we have cell phones, she can call me if she needs me! Jasmine was in Sams for the first time a few weeks ago. Zoom, the kids were gone. They found me later. Kohls, I think she beat into the store. Of course it helps living where business owners respect the service dog laws. lol There are times when the kids will go downtown, and we will catch up with each other at my office. Jasmine loves going on walks again. All of this because I was searching for safe chocolate for her. God has plans for this girl. It is so nice to know Stuie will be with her, by her side, keeping her safe as they walk through life together. It will be tough when the kids leave home. The cats and Stuie will go with them. This big house will be so quiet. I am glad the kids will be here for a bit longer.

Jasmine shops, she goes everywhere now. She isn't as afraid. I think on some level, fear will always be there. You need to breathe to live and her allergies cost part of her breathing ability. Jasmine worked very hard with her PTs. Her breathing is much better now. Swimming this summer has helped a lot. Amazing how one stupid hazelnut can cause so much damage. The Vocal Cord problems are healed as much as they ever will. It is doubtful she will ever be able to sing, or hum or clear her throat. But she can breathe. She doesn't need stupid machines everyday numerous times a day to aid in her breathing. I am glad we have stupid machine but happier she doesn't use it x times a day anymore.

I am so thankful for Stuie, for Southern Star Ranch, for Sharon and Leslie, giving Jasmine a life we didn't think she would ever have. To watch Stuie take care of 'his girl' is amazing to watch. I am so happy we are her parents and we have been able to watch this 'love story' between a girl and her service dog. And so very thankful to Jeremiah. He gave up so much for his sister. He has given up two, yes two trips to Europe. The money was needed to pay on Stuie loans and for Jasmine's medical bills. Jeremiah has never once been hurt, or angry about it. Guess what he got in the mail last week? Another invitation to Europe!! Maybe this time he can go. God's will not ours. Time will tell!!

Another first for Jasmine and Stuie, the public pool. She went during adult swim, no one buys candy then. Stuie checked the ladders, the water, laid down and watched her swim. Stuie did get a little upset when another dog showed up but Jasmine and the dogs owner worked with the dogs. The dogs were buddies then.

We are here! Everyday I love it more........ Gregg comes home for lunch. We all enjoy eating together. The kids are in their rooms. Our waterbed mattress came today so maybe tonight we will be in our bedroom! Pictures will come when I find the camera and when we get internet. Thought it would be today but guess not. Jeremiah is feeling better, Jasmine is still sick. I think I need to degerm my house. My kitchen is driving me crazy... we need to buy more wall cabinets, finish the walk in pantry and build a pot rack on the side of the pantry. I am off to the hardware store when I leave the library. They know me so very well there! tee hee.... we all know how much I adore hardware stores. There are TWO count them TWO lumber yards in Osborne. I am so happy!! Gregg is nervous. Ha. What did he expect when he taught me how to use all the power tools??

Jasmine has been asked to introduce Stuie and explain what and how he works. How cool is that? So far no problems here with business and Stuie. What a blessing!

If you would like to know more about Stuie please ask. If you would like a deminstration on how Stuie keeps Jasmine safe. Please ask. I ask you not to yell, curse, scream or thraten to hit me. This will not end well. Stuie isn't about me or you. Jasmine's allergies are not about me or you. This is all about Jasmine and Stuie, thier life together. Stuie is all about keeping Jasmine safe. How can anyone be angry about that? Doesn't Jasmine deserve to go out to eat, shop for groceries, a pair of earrings? Do you know it has been about ten years since Jasmine has shopped for fresh fruits and veggies? Most stores keep peanuts and tree nuts there. Since Jasmine is allergic to contact, we never knew if there was peanut oi on other foods. Now we have Stuie! We KNOW. Stuie tells us. Life is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have looked the other way to business' that didn't want us there with Stuie. I have stopped shopping at some business' because I am too darn nice. I don't want to turn you in for breaking the law. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Someone threatened me, wanted to hit me over using Stuie. That is it. The police are now involved. We will go wherever we want, whenever we want. No more tiptoeing through the daisies. I have talked to managers of stores, the police. I will be talking to the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. I will not make more excuses for a small community that refuses to support a 18 year old in her fight for independence.

I had my first Reiki class today. I am now Frist Degree Reiki. I will take the Second Degree Reiki class in 4 to 6 weeks. I am very excited. Now to practice what I learned today and everyday for the next four weeks.

Grass Roots Recession Busting

Pass on the savings to others! My son's piano teacher informed me that she was dropping the price of piano lessons for all of her students by $5 a lesson due to the recession. I told her that the only way I knew to thank her was to pass the savings on to someone else.

I take care of my sister's little girl while she and her husband are at work. They offered to pay $25 a day. In order to keep my promise to the piano teacher, I dropped what I charge my sister by $5 a day - upon the agreement that, when she finds the opportunity to do so, she needs to pass the savings along to someone else.

Pass it on!

Gregg asked me to make a scarf for the cabint he rebuilt. We have the tv sitting on top of the cabinet and Gregg is worried about scratches. This is what I came up with.

Table runner. I made two, one for the sideborad and one for the table. The fabric is so fun, little teapots, tea cups, creamer and sugar containers!

I am behind on posting. Gregg and I did get the living and dining room painted. I don't have it put back together. I will work on that today, along with some cleaning and baking and more phone calls. It is only Tuesday but the week has been very long. Sunday night I recieved a phone call from dad's gf telling me dad had been flown out fight for life to Omaha. Frantic packing after that and more phone calls. At the last minute I decided I needed to stay home. Gf and her daughter and my sister and her husband were in Omaha with dad. Jasmine has been having problems with her JRA. I wasn't comfortable leaving her. If I am not here, Gregg is at work, and something happens, the kids are on thier own. I know they are getting older but I worry. I am waiting for phone call this morning for a update. The doctor was in with dad when I called. He is out of ICU. We are all concerned since dad had the same surgery four weeks ago. Civilian doctors say one thing, the VA says another. The opinions are worlds apart. Dad insists on the VA doctors and hospitals. Update here. Dad is up and moving, shaved himself this morning. Gf says he looks great. The doctors were unable to complete the surgery due to dads bp spiking. He will have another surgery in March. Each surgery the doctors have said they have fixed the problem. Then dad starts vomiting bile and is bright yellow. Things are the way they are, this is out of my hands. Time for math, cleaning, laundry and baking.

I bought this Karen Voight Pilates Reformer at Goodwill last week. I paid $15 for it. It retails for $1300 online. It is a joy to get on in the mornings! My kids have taken over the basement in the afternoon to workout.

Children’s PRODUCT.--The term children's products means a consumer product designed or intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger. In determining whether a consumer product is primarily intended for a child 12 years of age or younger, the following factors shall be considered:

(A) A statement by a manufacturer about the intended use of such product, including a label on such product if such statement is reasonable.

(B) Whether the product is represented in its packaging, display, promotion, or advertising as appropriate for use by children 12 years of age or younger.

(C) Whether the product is commonly recognized by consumers as being intended for use by a child 12 years of age or younger.

(D) The Age Determination Guidelines issued by the Commission staff in September 2002, and any successor to such guidelines.
